  Promoting Period Dignity: A Sustainable Approach Menstrual health is more than just a personal care matter—it's a fundamental issue of dignity, accessibility, and sustainability. The  Period Dignity initiative , launched in Scotland in 2020, is a key movement in this space. Originally focused on providing free period products to schoolgirls, the initiative has since expanded globally, inspiring businesses, institutions, and organisations to make menstrual products freely available to employees and customers. Why is it important? As awareness of environmental impact grows, so does the demand for  organic and biodegradable menstrual products .
